A cryptographic framework for issuing, managing, and challenging digital identification documents.

Invented the peer to peer Mobile Driver's License http://mi.ibmjstart.com project. I created the IBM Mobile Identity project December 2012 which has a projected revenue opportunity of $1B. There are two cornerstone patents filed for this opportunity: A patent for Face-to-Face validation of identity with no connection required, and a patent for a Digital Signature Algorithm privacy solution to control privacy elements and prove trust of the group.

This is a disruptive technology to provide a means for a F2F Society Solution, emulating the current real world interaction used for a Thermal Plastic Driver's License. Today society operates in an F2F environment for proof of identity. To compete with the real world scenario, this mobile solution is untethered from a database and from the internet, limiting registered devices and connectivity requirements for speed and ease of use while at the same time increasing security. The term DML (Digital Mobile License) is used loosely here, as it applies to many aspects for a secure document for F2F verification.

Mobile Identity is much more robust than current mobile products like Google Wallet. Google Wallet is a simple mobile financial transaction. In the real world a wallet contains your identity. A driver's license is a major requirement in the USA as well as an increasing inconvenience given today's growing convention of owning a mobile phone.

Consider that Apple has filed a patent (pat 8,215,546) for "System And Method for Transportation Checkin" using a registered code number on the phone for a central database lookup.

It could be considered a compromised security model, as it allows others to access a database for identification - generally considered poor practice for security. It cannot be applied to peer to peer identification used for DMV and other Thermal Plastic licenses such as

2010 to Present

Parhelion Incorporated

Co-founding this company represents a lifelong interest in lasers, starting in 1978, when, as a teenager, I built my own holography lab at a time when few had heard of the technology. Not long afterward, I was awarded the National Science Fair Award for my project growing orange trees using laser light with a full Scholarship to Illinois University. Parhelion Incorporated is a pioneering laser lighting business, based on patents enabling revolutionary utilization of laser in the lighting industry. I co-managed all phases of company establishment, business strategy, product design, testing and manufacture, certification, import, sales and distribution, including legal, financial and vendor resources. Designed and co-managed overseas manufacturing and testing of proprietary components, including FDA certification of both green and proprietary blue laser.

This technology has many applications and currently we have a residential product. The residential product enabled us to obtain early patent issuance, proof of concept, and field testing for our ultimate industry targets (confidential).

Our Kickstarter crowd funding project that raised 500K for the construction of our own proprietary affordable truely blue laser for our patented commercial applications. I co-created and co-managed this campaign, which achieved 200% of our goal. Less than 1% of Kickstarter projects reach this level of success.

There are number of application areas that Parhelion wants to apply its technology and continue slowly toward this goal.

IBM Tivoli Business Service Manager (TBSM)

IBM Tivoli Business Service Manager monitors business services and tracks them against business objectives and technology infrastructures. It shows the operational status of services. Exploration was explored for scaleable mobile access of service information via Blackberry API. The complete application was written by Richard Redpath and made available to customers using TBSM. Custom UI components were created for performance. Additionally statistic informatopn for the OTA data to the device were available by the program on the device for our research study for throughput.

IBM Dojo strategy

DoJo is IBM's strategy for HTML website development. I created The DogEar Page Turning object in HTML 5 architecture, as a compelling asset to help demonstrate IBM's strategy for HTML website development. To achieve seamless animation, my algorithm uses trigonometry and simple HTML rotation. Chosen by IBM for the Innovative Patents Expo 2014. IBM iNotes Mobile

IBM iNotes is a pure HTML Notes product from IBM Hong Kong. I established the strategy and architecture for INote's mobile integration, creating an app prototype to communicate the seamless native mobile look on Android and iPhone using HTML and jQuery. This prototype was used as a template for the final implementation on Android and iPhone.

Spearheaded positioning of cross-platform mobile device infrastructure Phonegap and Mobile enterprise application solutions. PhoneGap is an IBM Emerging Technology platform developed in my department. Created prototype of the IBM Vulcan project for Mobile Connections using PhoneGap for mixed native/html apps.

Created TBSM dashboard spanning Tivoli's Data Presentation models to convey health of customer's business. Present historic business ecosystems in elegant, self-customized dashboards. Integrate unique customer system data from Tivoli and others, to seamlessly present custom KPIs.

Tivoli Gauges

A key problem in providing elegant dashboards to show historic business data, was information overload. The large and complex business systems of the target customer set often required large and complex sets of KPIs. Existing visual indicators did not always sufficiently convey urgency in these complex systems. To address this issue, Richard created 'leaping' gauges that would interrupt other work, and leap to the top of the visual hierarchy if a tolerance factor is exceeded. An animation is employed which inserts a larger version of the gauge, immediately promoting its level of importance in the visual system. The user can click on them to reset and inspect the issue. All gauges must be able to conform to any size.

iPhone Apps

Created number of iPhone Apps to understand the platform from inside out. Information about the apps can be explored by clicking on the title. Lots of creativity used in constructing the apps as well as mathematics.

SuZOOku
A visual Sudoku which uses animals instead of number. Sudoku is commonly implemented as backtracking order N³ algorithms. This algorithm I created is order N and uses a pattern concept to create new boards. All sounds and images except for animals were created by Richard Redpath.

Flick-a-Bug
A bug world that was created which uses the dot product A˙B for vector collision of flicking a ball which can be curved using the tilt of gravity. All bug images and sounds were created by Richard Redpath. The leave changes color as the game time runs out.

Clover
Is a fortune teller app for a spin the bottle concept. It explores the transformation API of iPhone and timing. The development of this app explored the Photoshop creation of transparent images such the custom bottles.

Capuchin
Is a color blindness testing game. This app explores synchronizing sound and slide traversing and timing. It also explored Photoshop color manipulation.

Semi-pro Skateboarder. I have been skateboarding for 35 years. I have actually skateboarded at the Dublin Tech Summit on the floor in Dublin Ireland to draw attention to our participation.
In the past I created a fund raiser for the North Carolina Museum of Art with Porsche Club and GlaxoWelcome CEO. Additionally I participated in the 2000 Silver State Classic Challenge (top speed 270kph) 3rd place by 0.5sec and raced on a number of NASCAR tracks.
